What is Fair Trade?  It is a growing movement to help low-income artisans in developing countries move towards economic self-sufficiency.  It promotes sustainability on all levels and creates opportunities to alleviate poverty.  Artisans receive fair wages, education, financial and technical assistance, and have safe working environments.  Fair Trade is about dignity, respectful relationships and making the world a better place.

Shopping @ EcoLoco promotes and encourages fair trade practices for men and women in poverty stricken regions of our world (including the US).  Having a positive impact on the lives of people is what we’re about, whether it be through sustaining our environment or our neighbors.
